The island keeps two hours.

The canoe tour through the canals is at its best at sunrise, or late in the afternoon. Both are hours a day visitor from Kollam never sees.

Sleeping here is the difference. You wake up already on the island, and the water is quiet.

First light Late afternoon

A guided canoe tour runs two to three hours, in a boat barely narrower than the canal. Both of its good windows sit at the ends of the day.

Queen beds, air conditioning, hot water at any hour, and a corner of teak casements that opens straight onto the palms. No two rooms are laid out quite the same.
