A little home tucked away in the quiet beauty of Munroe Island, where the days move a little slower, the evenings feel a little softer and nature is never too far away.
At Olam, we’ve tried to create more than just a place to stay โ a space that feels warm, unhurried and homely.
Olam (เดเดณเด) is Malayalam for a ripple. It is what the water does here, all day, quietly.

Munroe Island is a cluster of small islands in Kollam district. The headline thing to do is the canoe canal tour โ two to three hours through canals barely wider than the boat, best at sunrise or late afternoon, six people at most. Kayaking too, in small groups.
From the water you pass what the island actually does: coir retting and weaving, fishing, prawn and fish farms, boat building, sand mining. Kingfishers and herons. During Onam, the Kallada boat race.
